Photograph: The Davenport Ranch House, ca. 1890

A view of the Davenport ranch house from the south, taken by a traveling photographer in the spring of 1890. The original print shows the stone walls and a covered porch that wrapped two sides of the building. The structure was lost to a fire in the 1960s; this photograph and a handful of others from the Westlake Historical Society photo collection are the only surviving images of it.
